The staff of the department is mainly made up of professors who contibute to the administration of the department, publish articles and organize seminars and conferences thus pushing research forward, and teach undergraduate and graduate classes.

There are also people who have a temporary assignment at the deparment, like post-docs, visiting professors, and the students of the doctoral school.

The technical and administrative staff contains all the persons working in the offices to deal with the bureocratic life of the department, as well as those who tend to the I.T. structure and the building made up of classes, offices and laboratories.
